How Cassie Transformed from Boxing Class to Physique Stage Debut

Cassie’s transformation didn’t happen overnight, and it definitely didn’t come from a cookie-cutter program.

Her journey began in 2019 with a boxing class and a goal to lose weight. At the time, she was new to structured training and nutrition and had no interest in ever stepping on stage.

But the beauty of long-term coaching is how it evolves with the client. We started simple: movement, education, habits. As Cassie gained confidence and saw results, her goals shifted. She crushed a 12-week challenge and photoshoot, dove into more advanced training, and eventually joined my full coaching program.

The turning point came 18 months ago when she asked: “What if I actually did compete?”

From there, we got to work. With a show date set for early 2026, we mapped out a prep journey with:

  • Muscle-building hypertrophy blocks

  • Strategic mini cuts and metabolic resets

  • Reverse dieting phases to raise food intake while keeping body fat in check

  • Continuous education on macros, training intensity, and sport psychology

Science was the backbone of our approach.

Meta-analyses have shown that adherence is the #1 predictor of transformation outcomes (Johns et al., 2020), and Cassie’s compliance was textbook: 90%+ nutrition adherence, 100% training completion, and full trust in the process.

We also leaned into muscle-building as a metabolic strategy. Research confirms that increased lean muscle mass enhances resting metabolic rate and improves insulin sensitivity, making fat loss more efficient over time (Wolfe, 2006).

Just before her pre-prep phase, we wrapped a successful mini cut, dropping 4kg while still gaining muscle mass. Even after adding food back in, her weight continues to trend down.

Now we’re entering the final stretch. Cassie is physically primed, mentally steady, and metabolically resilient. Prep begins soon, and I couldn’t be prouder of what she’s achieved.

Because when focus meets strategy, and effort is backed by science…
The results speak for themselves.
